Jack London Square

living in jack london squareliving in jack london squareAsk anyone living in Jack London Square and they will tell you this is an area that has become a destination spot for locals and tourists.  The old wooden wharves and walk-in bars of Jack London Squares’ heyday are all gone; today you will find yachts and sailboats dotting the shoreline. Just across the water you can see the island of Alameda and restaurants and shops line the square.

Many of our favorite places aren’t found in the square; instead, they are located in the surrounding streets where wholesale produce marts combine with tantalizing restaurants and lively clubs, where small markets combine with commercial and loft spaces. There is a great farmer’s market on Sundays and artisan fairs can often be found on weekends.
